Beach Hopping on the Mexican Pacific

 

Towards the end of my summer in Mexico D.F. , we took our measly savings and hopped the coast and back for $300. These are images from about 4 hours south of Acapulco 

Ships and Pirates

This has been a more nautical summer than most. While traveling Mexico, we took a cruise through the Veracruz shipyard. Wikipedia says Veracruz is Mexico's oldest and largest port. Apparently so much gold and silver was found in Veracruz that it became the bulk of the exports to Spain, attracting pirates from all over the world.

 

Little did i know,  I would meet modern day pirates just a few months later, once I reached The Rockaways, New York...
